Bizzone by Boomerang
Despite the fact that the number of tablet users declared in the Czech Republic is only about thirty thousand, Boomerang have decided to release the first iPad custom magazine. It is business-to-business magazine Bizzone for Vodafone SME clients. Jakub Kase, art director of Boomerang Publishing (www.bpublishing.cz/en), was chosen as an icon of the nineties by famous design magazine Zivel (www.zivel.cz). Jakub Kase has worked for custom publishing company Boomerang Publishing since 2001. He has designed for famous magazines such as BarLife, Detail/Bata, Watch it, and Navigator. Read more »

Surprise at award party
Czech Union of Trade Publishing (www.uvdt.cz) announced best trade magazines 2010. Surprisingly, best on-line magazine is not one of the famous trade magazines but custom publishing e-magazine www.cilichili.cz by Vodafone CZ. The e-magazine is visited by 145,000 unique visitors per month, who are mainly young people. Read more »
Golden Semicolon Awards 2010
Czech custom media competed in the traditional Golden Semicolon Awards 2010 (www.zlaty-strednik.cz). The award has a nine-year history and is organized by Public Relations Club (www.prklub.cz). Just over 120 magazines were divided into eight categories, with the first three magazines from each category awarded. Six magazines also received special prizes for best editorial, cover page, efficiency, etc. The best magazines were ČiliChili by Vodafone, Bernard Beer magazine, Smile by Ahold and AXA newsletter. Almost 40 % of all prizes were giving to magazines published by Boomerang Publishing. Read more »
